While i'm at it, another thing that pisses me off...

Can someone please explain to me why no matter what time of day or night it is, and no matter where you are in New York, there is ALWAYS a line at the drug store? You would think that when there's either a Rite Aid, Duane Read, CVS or Walgreens on practically every corner of this city, it would diminish the chances of having to wait on line for fifteen minutes at, say, 1 am on a Tuesday. On York Avenue. By the river.

Last night while waiting impatiently after a very long night to pay for cat food at Walgreens, I was trying to figure out what was taking so long. Is it the old people who take a really long time counting change? Is it the high maintenance women who love to use their debit cards and for some reason haven't learned how to press 'Enter' and 'No cashback' in less than ninety seconds? Is it the coupon clippers who insist that the jar of peanuts is $1.69 and not $1.89? Or is it the cashier people themselves that forget what they are doing as they are taking their time ringing up the merchandise while flirting with the security guard?

Maybe it's all of the above but one thing I do know is that Manhattan drug stores bring out my violent nature. The things I do for my cat.
